We are all Unique
Once, we were unwilling
to join the pack.
Yet, we were attracted
to something
on Earth.
We had plans. We were
entrusted with gifts
to bear. Each of us had
responsibilities
and flare!
Then, we were born
onto family stories
based on towns
and nations,
it was universal.
We found that
no one was
special. Yet
everyone was
extraordinary.
There was constant
nudging to allow
ourselves to be
just who we were,
bare, full of secrets.
We remembered
we could always start again
without judging, wherever we
were, like mighty
fledgling eaglets.
We were unique
in this one-of-a-kind
adventure, saluting each
day with wonder.
We glorified
the present moment:
joyful, furious
confused, excited.
Yet, we were
backed by
historical
enigmatic
energies
in this mystifying
existence.
