Remember

Forbearing is not neglecting,

it’s indeed recalling.

It's an alternate opportunity

for novel unity.

Retrieving then becomes a special consideration,

if we don’t wish for replication.


Once we lean into ourselves,

we let go in stealth

the part that feels hurt.

If we pretend it’s not there to reassert,

and as we sense it’s gone,

and it feels numb,

it still lives in us in voracious ways to succumb.
