Poem: New Year
In this New Year,
you might contemplate
the source of all beginnings
and the beginning of all sources,
of your essence, in the dark
just like in the womb.
Your body replete with an end
to uncertainty and the uncertainty
of the end.
You might ask, "What does life want
from me?". To care for a loved one,
or engage in creative pursuits.
To be in service of others. Only
you know. Only you can
do it. You are
one of a kind. A special
star, made of unique air,
earth, fire, and
water, leaving a
river path that glows.
